Farallon Geographics Vice President named to Oracle Spatial SIG Board



David Lapp, Farallon Geographics' Vice President and Senior Database Engineer, recently joined the Board of Directors of the Oracle Spatial Special Interest Group. Mr. Lapp is Farallon Geographics' lead Oracle Spatial expert. He has integrated its extensive functionality with diverse applications for clients in many industries including state & local government, insurance, transportation, and homeland security.

The Oracle Spatial SIG provides a focal point for existing and potential users of Oracle Spatial and Oracle Locator as tools to store and manipulate location data within an enterprise environment. These tools are used by public and private sector organizations to integrate large volumes of diverse business data to support their business and policy objectives. The SIG provides a forum for geospatial professionals to share best practices and meet with Oracle Spatial experts.

Farallon Geographics' Oracle Spatial experts will be presenting a recent project which integrated cutting edge features of Oracle Spatial at the Oracle Spatial SIG meeting. The meeting will be held in conjunction with Oracle Open World and will take place from 2:30 to 4:30pm on Sunday, September 18 at the Palace Hotel, French Parlor Suite, San Francisco.
