HTP, Inc., a leading developer of software for the healthcare industry, continued its commitment to leading edge technology innovation in the second quarter of 2006. Major highlights of
the quarter included product updates for HTP MedRunner's8482;, which supports information exchange in regional health information organizations (RHIOs), and HTP RevRunnersm, which offers
hospital revenue cycle enhancement.
The Utah Health Information Network (UHIN) adopted an expanded version of HTP MedRunner to support the electronic exchange of clinical information among healthcare providers across the
state.
UHIN, which has been recognized as one of the only financially self-sustaining RHIOs in the country, originally built its administrative processes on our HTP MedRunner platform, said HTP
CEO Ray Shealy. The addition of clinical exchange capabilities makes HTP MedRunner the most complete and cost-effective network platform available for healthcare information exchange.
During the quarter, the company saw strong adoption of HTP RevRunner by healthcare providers across the country.
The company also introduced HTP Advocate, a new module of HTP RevRunner, to simplify and improve financial interactions between healthcare providers and their patients, resulting in
improved cash flow and patient satisfaction.
In addition, HTP announced a strategic partnership with UNI/CARE Systems, Inc., a leading provider of software and related services for the behavioral healthcare industry, to integrate
HTP RevRunnerSM into UNI/CARE'ss Pro-FilerTM software system. The integrated products offer a unique tool for managing eligibility for reimbursement by third-party payers and improving
revenue management for behavioral healthcare providers.
HTP'ss strong financial growth continued in parallel with its product line, as revenue increased 51 percent over the same quarter in 2005, and it added 10 employees to its professional
staff.
