Businesses shopping for a Web 2.0-style platform to facilitate internal and external communications will need to look no further than the first day of September's Blog Business Summit conference.
This year's conference, which begins on September 17th, will feature a one-day workshop titled "Social Media in the Enterprise: Blogs, Wikis and Beyond." Representatives from many of the
major companies that produce platforms that leverage blogs, wikis and social networking tools to foster employee collaboration and creativity will be in attendance.
Companies signed on to demonstrate their tools and technologies for enterprise collaboration include: IBM Lotus, Blogtronix, WordPress, and Near-Time Systems.
"The idea is to expose our attendees to enterprise-relevant tools and platforms," said conference organizer Steve Broback. "The day will give them a thorough understanding of what's
available and the best ways to use these tools to improve communications and manage knowledge."
