Biohabitats Wins Contract with National Park Service

Biohabitats, Inc., a nationally recognized ecological restoration, conservation planning and regenerative design firm, has been awarded one of three multiple award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts with the National Park Service (NPS) to provide revegetation services in the eastern U.S.

The preservation and restoration of local plant genotypes on National Park lands is an increasing challenge for the U.S. Department of the Interior'ss National Park Service. The NPS Natural Resource Management Policy states that the NPS manages the natural resources of parks to maintain them in an unimpaired condition for present and future generations's8230; Through this contract, Biohabitats will help the National Park Service address the challenge and meet its mission by restoring plant communities, stabilizing slopes and riverbanks, repatriating rare, threatened and endangered plant species, and managing invasive plant species.
