Clay County Utility Authority and BCR Environmental Continue ToWalk...

Continuing its successful two-year partnership with Jacksonville based wastewater and water reuse company, BCR Environmental, the Clay County Utility Authority (CCUA) has gone online with two new bio-solid treatment facilities; one at Fleming Island, the other at Ridaught Landing. Using BCR'ss patented Neutralizer's174; process the CCUA has achieved significant reductions in energy use, hauling costs, odors and truck traffic around the plants while becoming one of Florida'ss leading counties in sustainable water reuse. In addition, local farmers are using all bio-solids produced by these plants for soil amendment and fertilizer.

The Neutralizer's174; is working as we had hoped it would, says CCUA Executive Director, Ray Avery. It is a model that closes the loop in an efficient and sustainable way so that nothing is wasted; it is saving us money and helping the environment.

Using a patented delivery system BCR Environmental'ss Neutralizer's174; allows both plants to produce a class AA fertilizer in less than eight hours. Local farmer Wyman Griffis then picks up the residuals and beneficially applies them to his land. This has allowed him to reduce his dependence on commercial fertilizer and increase the hydrology of his soil. I am extremely pleased with the result of the BCR product, says Griffis.It has reduced my fertilizer cost and increased my productivity.
