Healing Seekers Video Takes Top Honors in International AwardsProgram

A promotional video for Healing Seekers, a Web and TV documentary series devoted to the exploration of the health and healing traditions around the globe, has taken top honors in the Telly Awards, an international awards program for film and video.

We'sre excited to have our work recognized alongside entries from some of the largest and most successful production companies on the planet, said pharmacist Amy Greeson, host and co-producer of the Healing Seekers programs.

Greeson and her crew travel the globe to document indigenous healing practices that hold extraordinary medical potential. Their Telly award-winning video spotlights a recent trek to Madagascar where they interviewed Malagasy healers with an intimate knowledge of the healing power of local plants.

Healing Seekers team members involved in the project included: executive producer Amy Greeson of High Point; producer/director Grace Kanoy of Thomasville; videographer Cary Kanoy of Thomasville; videographer Esteban Barrera of Quito, Ecuador; and assistant videographer and sound producer Josh Jones of Chicago, a graduate of the N.C. School of the Arts. Greensboro-based McWhorter Concepts, a full-service video marketing company, produced and edited the project.

This year'ss Telly Award drew more than 13,000 entries. Winners include companies, agencies and organizations of all sizes, from small ad agencies and local video producers to large organizations with well-recognized brand names - including the Golf Channel, NASA, National Geographic, PBS, ESPN and Pepsi among others. About Healing Seekers

Healing Seekers is a Web and TV documentary series devoted to the exploration of the health and healing traditions found around the globe, especially in indigenous cultures and rainforests. Our programs are designed both to educate and to entertain - highlighting centuries-old traditions that can lead to new modern-day therapies. We encourage exploration and discovery, promote an appreciation for diverse tribal traditions, and encourage the preservation of plants, wildlife and other living entities that may hold the key to new treatments and cures.

Our programs are anchored by pharmacist Amy Greeson, who is as at home talking to Amazon shamans and village healers as she is consulting with physicians and patients in her North Carolina pharmacy. Nationally certified in natural medicine, Amy is a lecturer, frequently published author and host of broadcast programs. For more information on Healing Seekers and a preview of our work, visit www.healingseekers.com.

Healing Seekers is a project of Inquiring Systems, Inc. (ISI). ISI is a California nonprofit 501(c)(3) Corporation, founded in 1978.
