These building efficiency improvements substantially reduce the sports facility'ss carbon footprint, an important issue for IAS management, fans and athletes alike. The upgrades will eliminate 35 tons of CO2 emissions every year, equivalent to planting 8 acres of trees or saving 4200 gallons of gasoline annually. The new lighting system provides five times the brightness of the previous system while modifications to the heating system reduce temperature variations tenfold, a big improvement in both energy efficiency and the comfort of the players and fans. Our players cannot be outdoors this time of year but the new lighting still makes it feel like the sun is shining on their game.
