Robert Poe CCIM MBA CFP Joins Lackman Commercial Group



Robert Poe, a veteran real estate broker has joined Lackman Commercial Group. Poe brings 25 years of real estate investment advisory experience for commercial investments and an exceptioanl background in green design (www.lackmancommercialgroup.com) and remodeling.





Poe began his career as a portfolio manager in central California responsible for agricultural properties, oil leases, storage warehouses and various real estate development projects.He later focused on multifamily (www.lackmancommercialgroup.com) projects including a 24-unit apartment building in the Central Valley that was completely remodeled and resold.



In 1996, Poe moved to the Portland, Oregon metro area. His first Oregon project was the massive remodeling and restructuring of a 1927 seventeen unit apartment building just outside the metro area.



Poe has studied passive building requirements in Sweden and is a Trade Ally with the Energy Trust of Oregon, a non-profit group that is dedicated to encouraging green building and energy efficiency in building design. His hands on experience in green technology include wind power site selection, and retro fitting buildings for energy efficiency.



Poe is STAR certified from the Energy Trust of Oregon. STAR (Sustainability Training for Accredited Real Estate Professionals) allows him to understand the key components of green design and the economic benefits of property owners.He has worked cooperatively with the Multifamily team from the Energy Trust to rehabilitate and upgrade old multifamily properties to be more energy efficient and lower operating costs. Finally, Poe has contributed to wind power projects and studied passive home design in Sweden and Norway. He is pursuing his LEED certification.
