Academic Speakers to Present at the Lhasa Limited Symposium on New...



Presenting on the strengths and limitations of current approaches to toxicity prediction, Dr Cronin will focus on Consensus QSAR Modelling, whilst Professor Hawkins plans to speak about toxicity related QSAR, models and statistics. Challenges in predicting metabolism & toxicity with known and abstract targets will be the topic of a talk from Dr Guengerich, which will form part of a session based around emerging areas in toxicity prediction.



The Lhasa Symposium will also feature presentations from speakers representing industry including Nigel Greene of Pfizer, Hctor De Len of Entelos Inc. and Scott Boyer of Astra Zeneca. Presenters from various regulatory bodies including the US Food and Drug Administration and European Chemicals Bureau will also be attending the event.



The Symposium will consist of three sessions dealing with current approaches to toxicity prediction, strengths and limitations of those approaches and analysis of emerging areas and technologies. A panel discussion session will conclude the event by exploring future needs and challenges in toxicity prediction. During this session expert panellists will invite audience participation and offer views and opinions from regulatory, commercial and academic perspectives.
