Santa Clara, CA December 23, 2008 -- Virtual Edge 2009, the Summit on Virtual Events, Virtual Communities and Virtual Marketing announced it has opened its general Call for Speakers on December 23. Virtual Edge 2009 will be held April 29-30, 2009, in Santa Clara, California.
Today, competition for people'ss attention is fierce, yet the economy has made travel more challenging so companies are turning to online or virtual means of conducting business,
delivering education and training and marketing, said Michael Doyle, founder and producer of Virtual Edge. We are seeing a tremendous demand for virtual events of all types--conferences,
trade shows, webinars, job fairs as well as training and education as companies realize that the technology exists to effectively deliver solutions and build community and relationships
online.
Proposals to speak at Virtual Edge 2009 should be submitted directly on the VirtualEdge.org website and should address: emerging technologies, best-practices and techniques, review case
studies and profiles of successful virtual events, communities and virtual marketing practices. The focus is on helping attendees find and apply effective virtual marketing strategies for
their business.
Virtual Edge 2009'ss selection committee is interested in speakers from the growing set of technologies, products and services but the focus is on how these solutions are being used most
effectively so the inclusion of users will be important to any technology solution presentation submitted. Sponsorship opportunities are available for companies to showcase proprietary
solutions, methodologies and services.
Speaker submissions are due by January 31, 2009. Submissions can be made at http://www. VirtualEdge.org and will be selected based on relevance and potential impact of the ideas, methods
and/or technology described.
