Philip Nimmo Ironworks will be on display at two prominent Hamptons showcase houses this summer. Nimmo's acclaimed Quadro Fire Screen will appear in the Hamptons Designer Showhouse, in the master bedroom designed by Katherine Newman, and his Quadro Andirons will be shown in the guest suite designed by Pappas Miron at the Hamptons Cottages and Gardens Idea House.
Philip Nimmo is a tour de force in the world of iron, with highly sought after collections of fire screens, lighting, furniture and unusual pieces. His Ironworks line can be seen in a
variety of high-end residential environments, and is finding its way into commercial settings and hotels from the United States to Dubai. Nimmo's pieces are one of a kind, not only for
the patterns that he creates, but also the inventive use of unique materials, such as horn, mica, glass, acrylic, and semi-precious stones. Each Ironworks piece is customizable by size
and finish, and is available in a range of materials.
Katherine Newman's master bedroom in the Hamptons Designer Showhouse, which opened July 19th and benefits the South Hampton Hospital, features Nimmo's iron Quadro Fire Screen accented
with steel blue, powder blue and tan glass. "Philip Nimmo's Quadro Fire Screen was a natural choice for our Hamptons Designer Showhouse master bedroom," says Newman. "Nimmo's artistry was
consistent with our aesthetic approach, filling this space with objects of curiosity -- both natural and artificial. His pieces present modernism with a sense of permanence as a result of
an old world focus on craftsmanship."
Pappas Miron customized Nimmo's Quadro Andirons to include in their design of the guest suite in the HC&G Idea house, which will be open for 5 weekends between July 25th to August
24th, and benefits a different charity each weekend, including the Peconic Land Trust, Child Development Center of the Hamptons, Fighting Chance, The Nature Conservancy, and The Retreat.
Both designers borrowed Philip Nimmo Ironwork pieces from the Profiles showroom in New York.
