May 11, 2005 -- Seattle Pug Rescue (www.SeattlePugs.com) will commemorate its 10th Seattle Pug Gala with the help of documentary
filmmaker Ben Davis, who will capture our curly-tailed friends' antics on film at the Gala.
The Pug Gala will be held Saturday, May 14th, 2004 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. Located at Sand Point Magnuson Park, 7400 Sand Point Way NE, in Airplane Hangar #30, the venue will accommodate
the hundreds of pugs and their pals expected. The cost is $10.00 per person, with children 12 and under free.
Activities include pug races, talent show, costume contest, raffle, Parade of Rescued Pugs and a variety of vendors. Pug owners will be able to connect with each other and learn about pug
rescue adoption and fostering, care, grooming tips and obedience.
"The Pug Gala is our big fundraiser that provides year-long assistance for pugs in need," says Nancy Hood, head of the rescue organization. She adds, "Pug owners will tell you who the
household celebrity is, and after their time on camera at the Pug Gala, pug owners will have even bigger divas at home."
100% of ticket sales go directly to Seattle Pug Rescue. The Pug Gala depends on volunteer staffing and the generosity of sponsors, www.PugPalace.com and the Puget Sound Pug Dog Club.
Seattle Pug Rescue is a division of the Puget Sound Pug Dog Club, a group of pug owners and breeders dedicated to the betterment of the pug breed, raising awareness about proper breeding
practices, and aid in the care of homeless pugs. Prior to adoption, Seattle Pug Rescue provides the pugs with immediate medical care, including vaccines and, if necessary, spay or
neutering.
