Manchester'ss newest Indian restaurant, Zouk Tea Bar and Grill, is holding a tribute evening to The Jacksons at its restaurant on Wednesday 1 July. Planned a few weeks ago, the event will now take on a special significance in the wake of the megastar'ss untimely death.
Zouk'ss owner, Amjad Bashir, said, As a family and a business, we'sre shocked and extremely saddened at the news of Michael'ss sudden death. What was meant to be a celebration of the
Jacksons's music will now be a tribute to one of the greatest pop artists of all time. We'sd like everyone to join us in celebrating Michael Jackson'ss life. This will be a fantastic
opportunity for friends to come together to remember him in a positive light and to celebrate his musical genius.
As a mark of respect, Zouk has decided to donate part of the proceeds from the ticket sales to the Make-A-Wish Foundation - just one of the many charities which Michael Jackson supported
so generously.
The evening will start with a drinks reception at Zouk'ss stunning champagne cocktail bar from 7.30pm, followed by a set three-course dinner of delicious, authentic Lahore cuisine. Guests
will be entertained by the dazzling Michael Jackson tribute act of Antony Edwards, who appeared on Stars In Their Eyes in 1997. Antony is an internationally renowned Michael Jackson
lookalike, soundalike and dancealike and his tribute act includes the all-time greats: Blame It On The Boogie, Billie Jean and Beat it.
Guests are encouraged to dress up if they wish and dance or moonwalk into the early hours to the hits of Michael Jackson and The Jacksons being spun by Zouk'ss resident DJ.
Tickets are 's163;29.50 per person or, alternatively, you can pay a 's163;15 non-refundable deposit, and the balance on the night.
