National Retailer Picks Chicagos Top Jewelry Designers for Fall Collection

From a field of more than 70 nominated designers, Kirsten Goede, Objets d'Envy, has been chosen by Macy's for the "Designers of Chicago at Macy's on State Street" Collection beginning October 9, 2007. Objets d'Envy, the only new jewelry honoree in the prestigious group, will debut along with 19 other Chicago-based jewelry, apparel and handbag designers, representing the best of Chicago's fashion scene.

Available for the first time at a national retailer, two Objets d'Envy collections will offer earrings, bracelets and necklaces reflecting the newest fall trends: charcoal grey, vibrant color accents and dramatic solitary looks. The collections at Macy's State Street include:

Element is the newest collection offering a twist on the neutral trend. Rich and shimmery Swarovski crystals are combined with new elements: bone, wood, chains, tassels. The look is an unusual combination of sleek design, updated disco glam and organic style. The color story-slate, amber, charcoal, bronze-is the perfect complement for the strong neutrals in Fall 2007 apparel. The retail prices for earrings, bracelets and necklaces are $32.00-$130.00.

Rock Candy is the collection that started it all. Clustered Swarovski crystal lavaliere necklaces, chokers, bracelets and earrings in stunning colors-Petal, Cerulean, Bordeaux-add a pop of color. Retail prices range from $58.00-$390.00.

Coinciding with Fashion Focus Chicago (October 9-14, 2007), the entire Chicago Designer Jewelry Collection will be unveiled in Macy's first floor jewelry department of the downtown Chicago Flagship Store on October 9th. The collection will be showcased throughout the fall and holiday shopping seasons until January 2008, when it will be considered for additional Macy's stores.
