Super Sexy Clothings Anna Pereira Cries Foul over Jessica Simpson Fashion...

June 16, 2005 -- In the short term, the already tight noose on the apparel industry has just gotten a little tighter.

Billions of dollars are spent on schooling related to fashion every year. As well as investing in independent ventures who have great lines but can't find an 'open door' as they are more risky than stores banking on a 'hot new celebrity line' being on their sales floor guaranteed to move, due to the afforded publicity around them!

Young, hopeful, talented and motivated people looking forward to becoming 'the next big designer' have a reality check when they realize this industry is becoming more and more monopolized by 'a name.' Some celebrities have great lines - sure. However, this entire industry which was always highly competitive and high risk, has become an even greater uphill battle for up and coming talent. "More and more," states Super Sexy designer Anna Pereira, "designer's like me are being overshadowed by celebrities who have no business being in the business!"

Why can't these celebrities just stick to what they do Jessica Simpson is the most recent celebrity to jump on the fashion designer band wagon, as recently announced in The Wall Street Journal. But as a singer, actress, and TV personality, how much of her personal time is she really putting into these designs Our guess is slim to none. A staff of underling designers will sketch up some goodies for Jess to either give the thumbs up or thumbs down to. Designs that get the "thumbs up" from Jessica will then be stamped with her namesake and image and shipped off to trendy teeny bopper stores where they will be eaten up like candy.

"I don't advocate these celebrity designers - since they are not designers at all! And of course they're lines become better season after season! The more glamorized and publicized they're lines become - they are able to recruit increasingly talented 'hopefuls' to work for the line, " states Anna Pereira matter of factly.

You see the same celebrity faces here and there and everywhere - frankly, they become redundant and boring.

So the clothing lines who have defined the style of celebrities, in which the public loves to emulate, will, in essence, become 'unpopular' since the celebrity then comes out with their own line (sort of like the student becoming the teacher) Is the industry seeing this This will become a short lived trend as the public gets tired of redundant names and faces.

Fashion is about expression, individuality and making a statement! When did it take a turn to the heard following a few sheep
