Credit Suisse today announced that it has appointed Bruno Daher as Head of Private Banking for the Middle East/Indian Sub-Continent. He will join Credit Suisse on August 1, 2006 and will
be based in Dubai. In addition to his role in Private Banking, he will also be Co-CEO of the Middle East region at bank level.
Bruno Daher will join Credit Suisse from Merrill Lynch, where he is a Managing Director and Head of Global Private Clients for the Middle East & India. During his 21 years with the
company, he has held a number of senior positions in the Global Private Clients area, with a specific focus on the Middle East for the last 12 years.
Credit Suisse has a strong commitment to the Middle East, which is one of the key growth markets for the globally integrated bank. In his new position as Head of Private Banking for the
Middle East/Indian Sub-Continent, Bruno will be responsible for the growth and further development of Credit Suisse's8217;s Private Banking business in the region. In addition, in his
role as Co-CEO of the Middle East region, he will be responsible for fully exploiting the cooperation between all three banking divisions and for leveraging the capabilities of the
globally integrated bank.

A French national, Bruno Daher was born in Syria in 1958. He holds a BA in Economics from the Boston College School of Arts and Sciences and an MBA from the Boston College Graduate School
of Management. During his career at Merrill Lynch, he completed assignments in Paris, Geneva and Bahrain.
Bruno Daher will take over from Peter Greuter who has decided to retire in spring 2007 after 25 years with Credit Suisse. Peter has contributed enormously to the growth of Credit
Suisse's8217;s private banking franchise in the Middle East. He will remain in Dubai for the next few months to ensure a smooth transition.
