David McMahon Joins Aravali Partners LLC

Aravali Partners LLC announced that David J. McMahon, Jr. has joined the firm as of July 16th, 2008, to further the firm's Institutional Sales and business development efforts. David recently left Morgan Stanley where he specialized in Municipal Bond and Derivative Sales.

Aravali's primary focus is on municipal arbitrage, relative value fixed income and concurrent hedging strategies. "We are excited to tap David's unique knowledge and 22 years of experience in the Municipal Market to expand our collective talents here at the firm," said Mark Young, President of the fixed income hedge fund that specializes in Municipal Bond strategies. He went on to add, "The timing of David's association with the firm comes during a period of unprecedented dislocation in our markets and we look forward to working with him to capitalize on these opportunities."

Mr. McMahon joined Morgan Stanley in 1986 and worked on the MBS desk before focusing his efforts on the Municipal Bond Markets . David holds degrees from the University of Notre Dame and Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management.
