National Aeronautics Space Administration NASA Selects Approva to Strengthen...



Approva Corporation, the leader in controls intelligence software, today announced that the Marshall Space Flight Center, NASA's premier developer and integrator of launch systems for science and exploration has licensed Approva's BizRights Platform and Controls Intelligence Suite to monitor both user access controls and configurable controls across its agency-wide SAP deployment.





The Marshall Center is one of NASA's largest field centers, continuing a legacy of accomplishment that includes the Saturn V rocket that launched America's astronauts to the moon; Skylab, the world's first space station; the propulsion system for the space shuttle; Spacelab; the Hubble Space Telescope; and the construction and operation of the International Space Station.



NASA required an automated solution that would independently validate key controls for their SAP applications while significantly reducing the time spent on reconciling manual data and preparing for year-end audits. After a competitive selection process, NASA chose Approva's continuous intelligence solution to implement both detective and preventive user access controls across their SAP environment, and to continuously monitor for segregation of duties (SoD) violations and unauthorized user activity.
