For the fifth consecutive year, The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE: PNC) has earned recognition as one of the nation's best companies for employee training. PNC was named to Training Magazine's 'Top 125' for 2008, an annual ranking of organizations in employee training and development. PNC placed 48th on the list, an increase of 20 spots from its 2007 ranking.

"When employees are trained effectively, they feel more engaged in their work and more connected to PNC's corporate goals," said Robin Connolly, senior vice president of training at PNC.
"Employee engagement is critical to driving further success for PNC."
Training Magazine determined the Top 125 companies by ranking a myriad of benchmarking statistics, including total training budget, number of training hours per employee,
