Argea, an outsourcing and management consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Partha Bardhan has joined the company and will lead its offshore BPO/ITO services management in New
Delhi, India. Bardhan, an experienced senior executive, officially joined Argea in November and brings exceptional consulting and practitioner experience in establishing global IT and BPO
outsourcing operations.
During his more than 30 year career in consulting and outsourcing, Bardhan led contract negotiations and the transition of large outsourcing contracts in the Asia Pacific region,
established and managed remote processing of F&A processes in India, and developed business strategies and plans for large global IT and Outsourcing organizations.
Bardhan was the Practice Leader for BPO for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in India. Prior to joining Argea, Bardhan was a partner with KPMG where he was the head of its Business
Performance Services practice in Northern and Eastern India and the firm'ss Global Lead Partner for Risk Advisory Services practice for the Oil and Gas industry. He also has more than 12
years experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he served in various capacities including BPO Practice Leader, Technology Consulting Practice Leader for its Eastern India
practice, SAP Leader for its India practice, and Consulting Practice Leader for Northern India.
Ram Iyer, Founder & CEO of Argea said, We are delighted to have Partha as part of our management team. He brings superior outsourcing strategy, implementation and management skills to
our practice and will contribute substantially toward increasing the improved business performance that our clients demand from us. He has outstanding insight into customers's business
challenges and the key requirements for their long-term success in outsourcing. An experienced executive with his portfolio of outsourcing skill and success could go anywhere in the
industry, so we are very pleased that he has decided to lead Argea'ss operations in India into our next phase of growth.
As the new head of Argea operations in India, Bardhan said, We continue to see more companies, both multinationals and mid-sized companies, outsource more complex processes to external
providers. As this evolves, they are discovering more gaps in their knowledge and skill sets and finding ever more capable specialists that can fill them. Our ability to identify these
gaps, fill them with advanced expertise, and match solutions to business needs is essential to the long-term competitive position of these companies. Transitions to enterprise-wide
outsourcing are demanding and we are finding many companies need sound guidance to do this successfully.
On why Argea was setting up an office in India and bringing in such a senior executive as Bardhan, Iyer said Our primary targets are mid-market companies and they expect solutions -
packaged services by service providers who have 'sbeen there, done that's. India has more service providers with deeper experience in ITO, BPO and KPO than any other outsourcing
destination in the world. As experienced practitioners, setting up our first overseas office in India was a very logical decision. In reaching out to Indian providers, Iyer added We are
actively seeking Tier II and Tier III Indian providers that seek to provide services to mid-market companies in the US. We have a model for taking the 'sbest in class's providers and
integrating them to provide solutions to mid-market companies. We urge interested Indian providers to reach us at indiapartners@argea.com.
