Valley National Bank Ranked No. 6 By U.S. Banker In Top 100 Banks Of...

Valley National Bank, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Valley National Bancorp (NYSE:VLY), has been listed as the sixth highest ranked bank by return on equity by U.S. Banker magazine. The magazine featured the results of the ranking in their May 2006 issue.



U.S. Banker's8217;s annual performance ranking analyzes the earnings results of the 100 largest banks and scores them based on a three-year average return on equity. Valley placed higher on the list than most of its competition in the country, and is the highest ranked bank in the tri-state area.
