Fly Fish New Hampshire Show March 56 Pelham NH



February 9, 2005 -- The Pelham Fish & Game Club and Merrimack River Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited are again sponsoring the third annual Fly Fish New Hampshire show, the ONLY show in New Hampshire dedicated to fly fishing. The event is designed to provide new and experienced anglers with information about fly fishing. Exhibitors include organizations, New Hampshire Fish & Game department and guides, shops, outfitters, and lodges from as far away as Quebec and Labrador. The exhibits cover a variety of products ranging from antique tackle and art to the latest products and equipment.
    
If you'd like to know what it takes to get started it's the place to go. If you are into fly-fishing mark you calendar and plan on attending.
    
Seminars will cover a variety of fresh and salt water species and locations. Show hours are Saturday 9-4 and Sunday 9-3.
Admission $7, seniors and club members $5 with membership card. Children under 12 free.

Presentations:
9:30am Jim Riccardi "Fly Fishing 101". Jim will cover everything you need to know to get started fly-fishing, from equipment to flies and casting. Jim's an outdoor writer and instructor who for years has instructed fly tying classes and worked with New Hampshire Fish & Game's Let's go Fishing programs "Fly Fishing Weekend" and "Becoming an Outdoor Woman program.

11:00AM     Dave & Fran Smith - "Fishing the upper Connecticut River and Vermont" Dave & Fran guide in New Hampshire and Vermont providing anglers an opportunity to experience the best both states have to offer for north country fishing. Here's a chance to learn about the opportunities just across the river in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom.

12:30PM Capt Charles Crue - "Fishing the Merrimack for stripers and blues" The Merrimack provides offers excellent fishing and is an excellent fishery. Whether your into salt water fishing or looking to give it a try, don't miss this presentation by a one of the best guides on the river.

2:00PM Gerry Crow & Jim Norton - "Fishing southern New Hampshire" Jim & Gerry are NH Fishing guides that spend a lot of time on the rivers and ponds of southern New Hampshire. If you haven't fished southern New Hampshire or are looking for a few new places to try don't miss out on a great spring fishing opportunity. www.nhriversguide.com

3:00pm Saturday Only- John Viar "NH's Cold-water Lakes and Ponds" John is with New Hampshire Fish & Game and spends a lot of time working to improve the cold water fishery in New Hampshire. This is an excellent chance to learn about this exciting fishery and expectations for the 2005 season.

The Pelham club has a modern 60X100 facility and a separate building that will be used for seminars. Ample parking is available and the kitchen will be staffed providing morning and afternoon food and refreshments.
