January 7, 2005 -- On January 9th 2005 a new, very unique fishing and outdoor show will hit the Canadian national television airwaves on OLN (The Outdoor Life Network) and Wild TV
(www.wildtv.ca). This Hook More Fish Television Inc. production is unlike any other outdoor show in Canada to date. Offering viewers an informative,
slick, cutting edge and up to date approach to fishing and camping adventures that are available to everyone, from all walks of life. Shaun Rickard, the host of the show and President of
Hook More Fish Television Inc. demonstrates outdoor activities that are available close to urban centers, within two hours of major Canadian towns and cities. Season one, consisting of 13
episodes, exclusively covers destinations in and around the Toronto area. Shaun executes unprecedented and detailed descriptions to his knowledge hungry viewers. State of the art
graphics, CG animations and up beat music sets this show apart from the main stream, run of the mill fishing television shows that have existed to date, bringing camping and fishing shows
into the 21st century. With a state of the art, weekly updated website (www.hookmorefish.com) running in conjunction with the show, Urban Outdoor
Adventures has created a truly interactive median that could potentially reach over 18 million outdoor enthusiasts in Canada.
This venture began its transformation from dream state to reality a mere twelve months ago. This is an incredible achievement in itself considering that many television productions take a
minimum of two to three years to hit the air. Shaun pitched his creative idea to several investors who immediately saw the potential of such a program for national television. They also
felt the intense passion that Shaun projected while presenting his vision. Shaun was able to secure the following investors: William Kerr - CFO of Nortel Networks, Leo Slocombe - Part
owner of Fuse Marketing Group Inc. and Carlos DaSilva - President of Limelight Entertainment Inc. With his "A Team" in place, it was now time to begin production and present his idea to
networks and potential sponsors. The long hard slog was just beginning.
Many potential sponsor companies will not even look at a new show in its first season. This did not stop Shaun from pursuing some of the largest names in the industry. Shaun's extensive
research gave him the added passion to know what the public were looking for and the fact that fishing alone is a $7 Billion a year industry in Canada, he was off to the races. The first
company on board was Normark Canada Inc. owner of companies such as Rapala, Storm and Blue Fox to name a few. Rapala had never financially sponsored a TV show in its first season on the
air, that is, until they saw what Shaun and Hook More Fish Television Inc. was offering. It was after reviewing the truly original and unique format of Urban Outdoor Adventures that
Rapala became a major sponsor of the show, a truly astounding goal was reached. The next major player to join the team was Bushnell Performance Optics, owners of brands such as Bushnell
binoculars and sport optics, Bolle eyewear and Serengetti eyewear. Soon after this Nikon Canada and Fox International from the UK signed on and negotiations continue with various other
large companies for the 2005 season.
Shaun has achieved his goal of creating, producing and selling his idea and amazingly got Urban Outdoor Adventures to air in less than one year, virtually single handedly. His small yet
experienced production crew shares the same passion for what he has created and have made both financial and personal sacrifices, putting their hearts and souls into each and every one of
the 13 episodes. When Urban Outdoor Adventures airs for the first time ever on January 09, 2005, viewers will have the opportunity to become both Judge and Jury as they witness a truly
informative show that explains the "When, Where and How" of Urban outdoor, fishing and camping adventures. In addition to all of the above, Urban Outdoor Adventures offers outstanding
camera work; postproduction and graphics that have been created by true filmmaking magicians.
Hook More Fish Television Inc. has done what no other outdoor production company has ever done before. Urban Outdoor Adventures offers something fresh, original and truly informative for
outdoor television viewers across Canada and parts of the United States.
