In a conversation earlier today Jack Horning NBAA's8217;s national director he said Details are in place for the 2006 Leaders Marine Northern Championship. This one day Championship will
take place on September 10 at Muskegon Lake taking out of Fisherman's8217;s Landing. The top 250 team's8217;s plus state qualifiers will be fighting it out on Muskegon Lake for first

batteries, Auto Value, Aqua-vu, Please Release Me, Supreme Marine, and more. This is going to be an exciting season with everyone vying to be one of the Leaders Marine Top 250 teams.
Also, qualifying for this event will be the top five teams from each NBAA state. To check on your status as a top 250 team, click on tournament results then the Leaders Marine Top 250 to
see where you's8217;re at in the Leaders Marine Top 250.
The cutoff date to qualify to be a top 250 team and state qualifier will be September 4. After this none of the points you accumulate will go towards qualifying for this event.
Registration will start the night before September 9th at 5:00 pm and go until 8:00 pm and again in the morning starting at 5:30 am at Fisherman's8217;s Landing. Take off for first flight
will be at safe light with other flights leaving in 15 minute increments. Check in will be at 3:00 pm for first flight and 15 minutes there after for each remaining flight. All NBAA rules
will apply. Substitutions may be used but the substitute must come from one of the Top 250 teams. Take off position will be determined by how you end up in the Leaders Marine Top 250 with
the state qualifiers following. The boat owner would get the higher seed in case of substitutions. The number one qualifier in the top 250 will be first boat to take off; second qualifier
will be number 2 in line and so on. The entry fee for this event will be $60.00 plus an optional $10 for big bass per team. However, the top 10 qualifiers from the Leaders Marine Top 250
will have their entry fees waived except for the optional big bass pot.
This event does qualify for the Skeeter Bonus Real Money for Skeeter owners and the Super Big Bass drawing with a top prize of a Polaris snowmobile valued at over $5000.00. Good luck to
everyone and hope to see you in Muskegon.
's8220;We's8217;d like to thank all of the directors, sponsors and members for all they have done to make NBAA the circuit it is today,'s8221; said Jim Sprague, owner and Executive
Director of NBAA 's8220;It's8217;s the members that are driving this incredible growth. They's8217;re spreading the word and letting us know what they want in a grassroots tournament
trail. We's8217;ve introduced a number of new programs and incentives and a lot of these ideas come directly from the anglers. Jack and I have spent a lot of time at sport shows and open
houses listening to what anglers have to say. We's8217;re looking into a number of new programs already for next year, so be sure to stay tuned.'s8221;
This grassroots approach to tournament angling has caught fire with anglers. The numbers show NBAA as the fastest growing tournament circuit in the nation. Just three years ago, NBAA had
around 800 members and 27 separate divisions. Today, NBAA boasts well over 100 divisions, a director staff of nearly 200 avid anglers and a membership expected to approach 4000 tournament
anglers. These numbers have also caught the eye of several national level sponsors including Skeeter, Yamaha, Solar Bats, Polaris, Minn Kota, Humminbird, Auto Value, Aqua Vu, and many
more national, local, and regional sponsors.
About NBAA
National Bass Anglers Association is one of the largest and fastest growing grassroots tournament trails in the nation. All NBAA tournaments are designed to give the grassroots tournament
anglers a shot at qualifying for big time tournaments by fishing locally. NBAA recognizes that not all anglers have the time to fish as much as they's8217;d like to, so a format was
designed that lets anglers fish their local bodies of water to qualify for the NBAA National Championship Week held each spring. By fishing as few as 5 tournaments, local anglers can
qualify to fish for one of the largest tournament payouts in team tournaments anywhere in the nation. Local tournaments offer a wide range of times and days to work around anglers busy
schedules. Tournaments are offered in the weekends, during weekday evenings and even during the weekdays for 2nd and 3rd shift workers.
