May 18, 2005 -- The North Carolina Catfish Association Tournament Series (NCCATS) is announcing their first night tournament of their tournament trail. The NCCATS Tournament Trail already
known as the Carolina's Premier Catfish Trail sparks up a national interest in the catfish world. NCCATS is the only non-profit fishing trail in the southeast that is a sanctioned
organization affiliated with the Cabela's King Kat Tournament Trail. Besides the Cabela's King Kat Tournament Trail NCCATS will provide the catfish angler's a second chance to be able to
qualify for the Cabela's King Kat Classic on the Santee-Cooper Lakes. NCCATS will be hitting the waters of Lakes Marion and Moultrie of the Santee-Cooper Lakes on July 30, 2005. This
tournament will be headquartered out of Black's Camp in Cross, SC. Catfish angler's from around the country will be competing for cash prizes and a chance to advance to the Cabela's King
Kat Classic to be held September 9th and 10th on Lakes Marion and Moultrie of the Santee-Cooper Lakes at the Rock's Pond Campground/Marina in Eutawville, South Carolina.
The NCCATS Tournament Trail is the opportunity for catfish angler's to advance to a new level with a 100% payback to places awarded and recognition for their abilities. The trail is a
team event. Teams can consist of one to three persons with one exception. A third person may accompany the team provided the third person is under 16 years of age or over 65 years of age
in order to qualify for the Cabela's King Kat Classic. To compete in NCCATS tournaments there isn't a third person eligibility rule except for those interested in qualifying for the
Cabela's King Kat Classic. Entry fee for this qualifier tournament is $100.00 per boat. There will be an optional big fish pot of $20.00 per boat.
The tournament weigh-in will be held on July 31st at 8:15 AM at Black's Camp in Cross, South Carolina. Tournament hours are from 7:00 PM until 8:00 AM. All anglers must be in weigh-in
line by 8:15 AM. This is a 5 fish limit catch and release tournament. To help preserve the sport only live fish will be weighed in and all fish will be released after the tournament.
Participants may enter at the registration to be held at Black's Camp July 30, 2005 from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM. This tournament is open to the public. There will be no mail in entries and
no late fees. No checks accepted. Cash only. Tournament entry forms will be available at the registration.
NCCATS is a non-profit organization. The places awarded depends on the number of boats entered. The top 2 teams at each qualifying event will qualify for the Cabela's King Kat Classic. If
the top 2 teams have already qualified for the Cabela's King Kat Classic the next two eligilble teams will qualify.
