Pawleys Plantation to Offer Gourmet Seafood Feast the Last Friday of Each Month
Pawleys Plantation's8217;s award-winning chef Kim Lloyd will be preparing and serving an elegant seafood feast that is open to the public on the last Friday of each month starting July 28. Pawleys Plantation's8217;s Chef Lloyd is well known along the Grand Strand for flavorful fusion cuisine, which will be offered as part of this extraordinary menu. The Lowcountry charm and elegance of Pawleys Plantation makes it the perfect location for chef Lloyd's8217;s offerings.
Unlike traditional seafood buffets, Pawleys Plantation's8217;s seafood feast will feature gourmet twists of familiar favorites. The buffet will include citron vodka poached and herb local grouper, Cajun spiced mahi mahi with a Creole mustard glaze, a smoked seafood display, a creamy New England seafood chowder, a tangy seafood pasta salad, and a creamy horseradish slaw. Sous Chef Bill Sawyer, formally of Litchfield Country Club, will also be preparing one of his specialties, a Lowcountry Seafood Casserole. For land-lovers, Chef Kim will be preparing herb-roasted chicken with a red pepper coulis. The feast will also include local favorites like fried oysters, shrimp and scallops, a raw bar with oysters, clams and peel and eat shrimp, and hushpuppies with sweet honey butter, a variety of vegetables, rice pilaf, and a fruit salad. Gourmet desserts will include a rich tiramisu, as well as traditional southern favorites such as pecan pie, key lime pie and Chef Kim's8217;s own bread pudding with a twist.
