In the past, marketing efforts on behalf of the County were primarily tourism or product based - the intent of this new website was to package a unique and engaging front-end portal that captured small business and entrepreneur "Creative Class" investors' attention using the latest technology such as Flash animation, podcasts, video galleries, user generated content, etc. creating a multi-dimensional user experience.



EDO Dan Taylor commented, "Web 2.0 technologies and the internet now allow us to reach hard to find entrepreneurs globally for a fraction of the cost typically associated with prospecting, and our strategy to date is highly successful with over a half billion dollar's worth of qualified leads. We are now using the web to take our existing strategy to the next level." Incorporating the latest in user generated content such as Social Media trends like Facebook groups, social search and blog marketing, these online tools provide diverse opportunities for delivering targeted marketing messages to the right audience.



The sophisticated back-end boasts a Content Management System (CMS) that allows members of the client's organization to quickly and easily update, change, and tightly control its marketing communications. The CMS is fully integrated with a robust Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system enabling the client to capture new leads and manage all programs and activities related to attracting and securing those new investors into Prince Edward County.
