T-Miller'ss Sports Bar 's38; Grill (www.tmillerssportsbar.com), whose name is a combination of venerable department stores Thalhimers and Miller 's38; Rhoads, will open its doors on August 27. The three-meal-a-day sports bar strives to separate itself from the sports bar pack with higher-quality food and quick and friendly service in a stylish, contemporary and high-energy environment. Among the highlights:

- T-Miller'ss features outdoor seating that overlooks Broad Street, with room for 50 people (space heaters and a fire pit will warm diners throughout the colder months)

- Comfortable tables and booths with built-in TVs, providing more than 200 seats inside and another 50 seats on the patio

Starbucks and T-Miller'ss will cater to hotel guests and our neighbors in and around downtown Richmond as well as become a welcome addition for the city'ss ever-growing number of conventioneers, said Tom Underwood, general manager of the Richmond Marriott. We'sre especially excited to offer patio seating along Broad Street at T-Miller'ss, which promises to be an affordable option for lunch or a gathering place before heading to a game or concert.

The Richmond Marriott, built in 1984, was purchased in early 2008 by Apple REIT Seven, Inc., a Richmond, Va.-based real estate investment trust, and is managed by White Lodging, one of the nation'ss premier operators of leading-brand hotels.
