Southern Vision Systems (SVSi) today announced they are giving away a StreamView's8482;-LR portable high-speed video camera kit. To eligible to win, contestants must submit an essay which details how they would use a high-speed camera in their business. Essays are limited to 100 words and must demonstrate how using a StreamView-LR would be used in a manufacturing environment to reduce downtime, increase productivity, improve efficiencies, incur cost-savings, etc. The StreamView LR Portable high-speed camera kit includes everything needed to connect to a laptop and start filming. MSRP is US$ 5,950.00.

Serving on the judging panel will be Leland E. Teschler, editor of Machine Design and Elisabeth Eitel, editor of Motion System Design. Not to be confused with machine vision, high-speed digital video cameras are used to troubleshoot machinery, optimize automation and to study shock, vibe and drop-tests.
