Bruce Miller, owner and Chef of Café Serene created a new local weekly cooking show Cooking with B'sup2; airing in over 75 cities in New Jersey to provide audiences alternatives to
national cooking shows.
Cooking with B'sup2; stars Executive Chef Bruce Miller and his side kick, Chef Bill Morales. The show airs on Comcast 26 every Wednesday at 8:30 pm and Cablevision 76 at 7:30 every
Monday.
National cooking shows have big budgets, scripts and large staff to help with research and cooking. However, local cooking shows such as Cooking with B'sup2; are on minimal budgets with
no staff support.
Gail Miller and I created the show because we felt the network cooking shows are too rehearsed and not entertaining enough. We have no script. Bill and I are spontaneous. The show is
filmed at my restaurant, Café Serene. The set is not typical of cooking shows. It'ss nothing fancy and the kitchen is small. Most people lack space when they cook in their own kitchen. We
wanted to create a show that audiences can relate to. Our cooking is back to the basics. In addition, we try to be entertaining so we can engage our audience. Our goal is to have fun
cooking while educating our audience, says, Bruce Miller.
Local cooking shows around the country are the latest craze. The local chefs are becoming celebrities in their own towns. They may never be on a national network and seen by millions, but
they have the freedom and creativity to create their own shows without network pressure.
