Fat Fighting Club Launch New Slimming Site - AidWeightLoss.co.uk

According to recent research around 2 in every 5 adults in the UK are overweight with 50% classed as obese. Although there are many bogus weight loss products and websites around, there is one group of friends determined to buck the trend. After forming their own fat fighting club the group have now launched a new, innovative website called Aid Weight Loss to help dieters find their ideal weight loss method.

Nottingham, Nottinghamshire ( UK) 29th June 2009 - A group of friends who formed their own fat fighting club have now launched their own slimming website. Designed to educate visitors on all things related to losing weight, the site gives dieters a fighting chance of reaching their ideal weight.

Aid Weight Loss (http://www.aidweightloss.co.uk/) officially went live on 15th June and has already gained something of a cult following amongst dieters.

However, the site is still very much 'swork in progress's according to the website'ss founder Lyndsay Booth:

I started the site after several discussions with the other members of our fat-fighters club. We had all experienced frustration at the lack of credible information available on diets, slimming pills and weight loss methods. I have big plans for growing the site and what is there at the minute is just the start.

Although the site was founded by Lyndsay, there are another 4 members of the fat fighting club who all contribute ideas and articles for the site. As a group the team have lost a combined total of over 10 stone in weight.

We have all experienced various levels of success and have all faced our own challenges along the way. As a group we have supported and motivated each other all the way through. We are not finished yet either, I think we have all caught the weight loss bug! Together we have tried countless different diets and products and now we know what worked for us we can hopefully pass our experiences on and help other people lose weight too, added Lyndsay.

Perhaps the most innovative feature of the website is being able to participate in a slimming tablet quiz (http://www.aidweightloss.co.uk/which-slimming-tablet-is-right-for-you/) which asks various questions about you and your lifestyle. At the end of quiz it calculates which slimming tablet is likely to work best based on the answers you provided.

The designer and fellow member of the fat fighting club, Adam Smith explained:

Lyndsay came up with the idea of a quiz and I put it in to practice. We are sick of seeing sites that recommend one tablet as the best for everyone when it'ss simply not true. Everyone has to look at their own set of circumstances and choose the pill that will help them lose weight the best - not the one that worked for their friend.

The honesty of the group on the website seems to be attracting a lot of attention. In the first day over 100 people visited the site. This number has steadily grown each day and currently Aid Weight Loss is receiving over 500 hits per day.

Other features of the site include a Body Mass Index (BMI) calculator and articles, slimming tablet reviews (http://www.aidweightloss.co.uk/slimming-tablet-reviews/) and weight loss methods. With so many less than ethical weight loss sites around it is refreshing to see a group of friends do something positive to help fellow dieters.
