Hampton Coffee Company Annouces Corporate Changes

April 26, 2005 -- After six years as CEO and co-owner of Water Mill (Southampton) based coffee roaster-retailer Hampton Coffee Company, Jason Belkin has decided to leave his position to return to his previous career in Public Relations and continue to grow his PR company, Jason Belkin Public Relations (www.jasonbelkinpr.com). Before coming to Hampton Coffee Company in 1999, Belkin was a reporter and producer for News 12 and an award-winning Public Relations Consultant specializing in school district community relations. Company President Pepe Martinez purchased Belkin's share of the business resulting in his now 100 percent ownership of Hampton Coffee Company and the Water Mill location.



"Being a co-owner of Hampton Coffee Company with Pepe since we took over from the original owner six years ago has been an amazing experience," said Belkin. "Thanks to our dedicated customers, reliable suppliers, and the hard work of our great staff over the past six years we were able to grow a small coffee shop in Water Mill into a three-store chain of espresso bars & cafs to become Long Island's largest independent roaster-retailer. Today, our freshly roasted estate grown coffees are shipped all over the country and sold in the King Kullen and Waldbaum's supermarket chains."



In addition, Jason Belkin and his wife Theresa have become the exclusive licensee of the Hampton Coffee Company brand and will be opening their own Hampton Coffee Company locations. Their first espresso bar and caf will open this summer at 194 Mill Road in Westhampton Beach. It will be located inside the Bridgehampton National Bank branch being built at the Six Corners intersection, across from the movie theater and the new Town Hall.
