Secaucus, NJ June 4, 2008 -- Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa will celebrate on June 5, 2008 "Apritif la Franaise," the annual and international rendezvous of French food culture.
Le Cordon Bleu, worldwide leader in culinary and hospitality management education with more than 30 schools over 5 continents, is proud to sponsor a unique international event with the
partnership of the French Embassy to Canada and Sopexa. "Apritif la Franaise" is celebrating its 5th anniversary on June 5th at Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa Culinary Arts Institute.
The program consists of a two hour demonstration starting at 3:00pm and conducted by Jos Moniz and Gilles Gourdet, respectively cuisine and pastry Chefs of the French Embassy to Canada
and will take place in the Salle Cointreau. The demonstration will focus on:
"Plats servis au palais de l'lyse, offerts par des Prsidents de la Rpublique Franaise" / "Dishes offered by French presidents and served at the lyse Palace � including:
- Mr Valry Giscard d'Estaing : Potage aux truffes, Truffle potage
- Mr Franois Mitterrand: Caille farcie prigourdine, Prigourdine stuffed quail
- Mr Jacques Chirac: Millefeuille noix de coco et citron, Coconut and lemon millefeuille
Following the demonstration at 5:00pm, an "Apritif la Franaise," will be served on the terrace, reflecting the different customs and renowned aperitifs that are offered in various regions
of France. You will also have the opportunity to discover culinary showpieces created exclusively for this event by our chefs and Chef Meilleur Ouvrier de France. Finally take this
opportunity to meet Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa's Chefs in person and have the opportunity to ask them the questions to which you have always wanted answers -- or why not have them reveal one
of their secrets.
