April 25, 2005 -- The inspiration for PREZZI Personal Chef Services came when co-owner, Jamey was trying to loose weight and hit a wall.



"I did well on the diet for about 2 weeks but then got bored with the grocery store's frozen meal choices and many times I threw them away because they tasted awful. Then I noticed if I was super busy and didn't have something in the fridge to grab & heat immediately, the diet went out the door. Seeing my frustration, my husband Ognjen, an avid cook, read my diet plan and offered to cook and freeze the meals for me. I agreed. Twenty pounds later, he is still shopping and cooking for me.



Over the next few weeks, my mind started racing with ideas. I started thinking and planning for all of the people who could benefit if we created a service that fit around their budgets, lifestyles and dietary needs. I had no idea that we were creating a Personal Chef service, I thought those types of services were just for the rich.



I was constantly thinking about how many people could benefit from this service. Starting with my single friends who eat out at expensive restaurants every night to my friends with children who feel guilty for picking up fast food. Plus so many people have such good intentions to eat at home and they shop for groceries but end up throwing half of them away at the end of the week because they go bad. Imagine all the time and money wasted on good intentions. Now our customers can actually make the system work for them, eat at home and save so much time and money in the long run. The Personal Chef service is really a win-win solution for everyone and the rest is history."



PREZZI is family-owned and operated by the experienced team of Jamey and Ognjen Prezzi. They have worked in fine dining restaurants for over 15 years and are passionate about high quality food solutions.
