Savannah Georgia Welcomes First True Steakhouse Innovations Abound

Pino Venetico, owner of local award winning sister restaurant Il Pasticcio, opens Savannah's first true American style steakhouse at 44 Bull Street in downtown Savannah today. Bull Street Chophouse http://www.bullstreetchophouse.com fills a need in Savannah for a legitimate steakhouse on par with America's best steakhouses. Bull Street Chophouse serves U.S.D.A. Prime steaks and chops along with fresh local seafood and traditional favorites like Maine lobster and Alaskan King Crab. Innovations don't stop with the menu, as diners are offered an extensive all-American wine list and mouth watering interpretations of local Georgian fare.

"My friends and patrons at Il Pasticcio have been telling me for years that we need a real steakhouse in Savannah. When it came time to expand I wanted to give my customers something as unique and captivating as Savannah," said Pino Venetico, owner of Bull Street Chophouse

Venetico goes on to stress that Bull Street Chophouse will follow a formula that has brought him success with Il Pasticco, named one of the 10 best Italian restaurants in America by USA Today. That formula includes great food and a great team focused on the small details that all add up to a memorable dining experience. When a custom chandelier for Bull Street Chophouse's dining room did not arrive on time, Venetico delayed the restaurant's Grand Opening.

"To show people what goes into making a great restaurant I've launched a behind-the-scenes video show on YouTube at http://youtube.com/user/BullStreetChophouse and a blog at http://savannah-steak-house.com/category/specials-and-happenings so Savannah residents and visitors can get to know us and see how committed we are to making their dining experience with us truly memorable. We're also going to use our YouTube show and blog as a way to get feedback from our patrons. When we listen to our customers we can only get better." concludes Venetico.

Bull Street Chophouse will host a Grand Opening party on the evening of Monday June 16, 2008. Bull Street Chophouse is situated above Venetico's current restaurant Il Pasticcio at 44 Bull Street in historic downtown Savannah in what was originally a Lerner's Department store. Over the last month, Venetico and his team have been open to the public in a 'pre-opening' mode where menu items were perfected, chandeliers were tracked down, and the whole restaurant team completed the equivalent of Spring Training.

Bull Street Chophouse will be open for dinner Monday through Thursday from 5:30PM to 10:30PM and Friday and Saturday's from 5:30PM to 11:30PM. The steakhouse will serve private parties on Sunday. Bull Street offers valet parking and online reservations and specials announced on their web site at http://www.bullstreetchophouse.com
