Super Hoodia Hits the North American Market

Millennium Health Supplements (Canada) Inc. acquires a supply of Wild Hoodia Gordonii from South Africa with the highest known active levels at almost 50 percent higher than reference samples used in testing facilities. The Hoodia active steroidal glycosides have unique, appetite-suppressant qualities. To develop a batch median, Millennium Health performed analytical testing with different batch samples at two different test laboratories: Alkemists Pharmaceuticals in the United States and Stellenbosch University in South Africa. Initial testing was performed in South Africa and it revealed that Millennium Health's Hoodia has 48 percent higher active levels than the Stellenbosch University reference sample. Alkemists lab testing was equally remarkable with an active level of 0.45 percent, a number that is 50 percent higher than the University of Mississippi reference sample. Typical, WILD Hoodia Gordonii samples test out in the 0.3 percent range while cultivated Hoodia is much lower, with some reading as low as 0.1 percent active.
