The Roasterie Inc A Kansas City Coffee Producer Earns PrestigiousCertification

The Roasterie, inc.'s174;, nationally recognized as an innovative leader in the specialty coffee roasting industry, earned ISO 9001:2008 Certification. The Roasterie is the only specialty coffee company in the U.S. to earn this prestigious certification. ISO standards measure organizational structure, procedures and processes to ensure a company is operating at maximum efficiency. The Roasterie was required to pass a rigorous audit by an independent, third party auditor to achieve certification.

The company'ss successful certification program illustrates our commitment to quality and exceeding our customers's expectations. This certification has strengthened our business and production processes, said president and founder of The Roasterie, Danny O'sNeill. I praise our employees for their efforts during the project. They are a talented team of highly skilled professionals.

ISO standards are voluntary and make the development, manufacturing and supply of products and services more efficient. Certification demonstrates The Roasterie'ss commitment to the quality of its products, processes and management system. It ensures management'ss commitment to the cause of sourcing the world'ss best beans, roasting fresh and delivering to the customer as quickly as possible. All employees participate and impact the system, making it truly a company-wide quality management system.

To prepare for its audit, Missouri Enterprise helped The Roasterie management and employees bring their processes and documentation into compliance with current ISO standards and provided internal auditor training to allow the company to maintain its ISO quality management system.

The Roasterie, founded in 1993, is one of the most renowned specialty coffee roasters in the nation. Committed to finding the best coffees from around the world, The Roasterie buys its beans from small, specialty farmers for a fair price. Those beans are then roasted using a convection air-roasting method, instead of the more traditional drum-roasting method, to ensure superior consistency and a tastier, smoother cup of coffee.

ISO began in 1946, when delegates from 25 countries met in London and decided to create a new international organization to facilitate the international coordination and unification of industrial standards. ISO officially began operations on February 23, 1947, in Geneva, Switzerland.
