Davis Vipers of Utah Football Conference to Hold First Team Meeting of 2005 New Players Welcome
January 15, 2005 -- The Davis Vipers will be having their first team meeting of the year Monday, January 17th at the Elks Lodge in Roy at 7 P.M. The Lodge is located at 1875 West 5200 South, Roy 84067.
Anyone wishing to play for the Vipers this year is welcome.
"This year we have even higher expectations," said team owner Rex Stacy. "We are looking forward to making waves in our new conference."
The Davis Vipers are a fifth year semi-pro football team in the Utah Football Conference. Last year the Utah Football League merged with the Rocky Mountain Football League. The Vipers finished with a .500 record and just missed out on the playoffs.
The Vipers are now members of the Utah Football Conference North Division.
"It's time for our guys to strap on the Viper red and white and play a little RMFL ball," said Stacy. "I hope they're ready for it, because it's going to be a great season."
"We need all the players to be there. This is a must attend meeting. If team members have co-workers, friends, classmates, or family who want to compete and who love to play, we would love to see them there."
"We have sponsors this year as well as some new team mates. We ended last season with a bang, and we are looking to be faster, stronger, and even more of a close knit squad than ever before."
