GameWorks and The University of Miami Announce Free Official New Years Eve Watch Party
December 17, 2004 -- GameWorks and the University of Miami
announced today that they will host a New Year's Eve party and game
watch at two GameWorks locations in Miami (Shops at Sunset Place) and
Ft. Lauderdale (Oasis at Sawgrass Mills Mall). The party will take place on Friday, December 31st as the Miami Hurricanes take on the Florida Gators in the Chick Fil-A Peach Bowl .GameWorks and UM will offer free admission to the New Year's Eve Celebration.
The party begins at 7 PM and will feature the Hurricane game on all
screens, as well as a UM balloon drop with cash and prizes, live viewing of the ball drop from Times Square immediately after the game, champagne toast and interactive activities. GameWorks will be giving away two recliners, courtesy of El Dorado furniture, and will also have live entertainment on site for the New Years Eve Celebration following the game. Former players will also be on hand to sign autographs and interact with fans.

"This party is a great alternative to the high ticket prices of
traditional New Year's Eve events, and with such an exciting match up
with the Gators we think it will be an incredible party for fans."
Hurricane fans are encouraged to dress in their best UM gear for prizes. The Sawgrass Mills location will also host a pre-game tailgate party on the patio from 6:00-7:00 PM for UM fans.
Early arrival is highly recommended, and reservations will not be accepted.
