Inaugural Triton Financial Classic Performance as Strong as EventsNew...

The seventh annual Champions Tour tournament in Austin -- now known as the Triton Financial Classic -- showcased a commanding, 6-stroke victory performance by winner Bernhard Langer of Germany, an appropriate capstone to a week-long, unique and engaging Tour event that was left without a sponsor just nine months ago.

Under new title sponsor Triton Financial (www.tritonfinancial.com), the event produced a number of first-time experiences for players, fans, and community leaders alike: a new course layout that included a dramatic par-3 waterfall hole to finish, a chance to play and watch past Heisman's174; greats compete with the pros, and a field of the tour'ss A-list players and legendary names (Langer, Jay Haas, Jim Thorpe, Hale Irwin, Larry Nelson, Scott Hoch, Denis Watson, Lee Trevino, Ben Crenshaw, Tom Kite, Mark O'sMeara).

The event exceeded our expectations, said Triton CEO Kurt Barton. With Langer'ss record-breaking performance and the first ever combination of Heisman winners participating, the event was a tremendous success. We feel it is a perfect match to what we seek to achieve as an investment company. For us - just like for these golfing greats - it'ss all about performance under pressure, and the result is right there on the scorecard. As for golf performance, Langer closed with a 5-under-par 67 to ensure his victory--the first wire-to-wire win on the Champions Tour this year--and his numbers tell the whole story: sixth in fairways (73.8 percent), third in greens in regulation (77.8 percent), fourth in total putts (average of 27.3 a round), and sixth in average driving distance (301.5). His margin of victory broke Jim Thorpe'ss record from 2005 by two shots.

Such a standout performance gave Barton a chance to draw comparison to Triton'ss approach to investment strategies. We balance traditional investment vehicles with value-added options like real estate and venture capital, Barton explained. It'ss a win-win strategy -- one that pursues stability and reliable cash flow for our clients, while taking advantage of potential high-yield opportunities. You saw the same type of strategies applied out there on the golf course.

When Triton assumed the event sponsorship last October, Barton saw a chance to leverage Triton'ss story and its connection to the Heisman's174; Winners's Association to create a unique format drawing together top professional golfers with some of college football'ss greatest legends. Heisman's174; winners Ty Detmer and Chris Weinke won the Heisman's174; Winners FORE Charity Event held during regular play with the pros last Friday and Saturday. Detmer and Weinke beat out legends Tim Brown, Mike Rozier and a host of other former Heisman's174; winners to take home the title.

The effort succeeded in its debut as fans enjoyed great golf, Heisman's174; winners, and the laid back entertainment and intimate interaction that can only be found among the players on the Champions Tour, something Barton said made the sponsorship all the more attractive to Triton.

From day one, I'sve made it our business to put individual investors first, Barton said. The Champions Tour is the same way with its fans. Like the Tour, at Triton we'sve created an approachable alternative to Wall Street for all types of investors.
