PlayerPulse.com A New Voice That Combines Commentary From EliteAthletes...

Jarett Sims, digital entrepreneur and son of Emmy Award winning television and radio voice Dave Sims, currently the voice of the Seattle Mariners (http://www.playerpulse.com/category/contributors/dave-sims/), today announced the official rollout of PlayerPulse.com (http://www.playerpulse.com/), a new website designed to bring many of today'ss influential athletes, sportscasters and journalists together to express unencumbered independent opinion on the top issues in sports.

The site will officially launch this week, with a look back at the NFL (http://www.playerpulse.com/category/nfl/) Draft, a look towards the NBA (http://www.playerpulse.com/category/nba/) Draft and discourse on Major League Baseball. It will also include a host of commentary on various subjects (everything from Golf to MMA) by many respected journalists and athletes from the major American sports. Another exciting feature of the site is exclusive video interviews with noted athletes, the first two of those being with Ken Griffey Jr. and Torii Hunter.

With the way the economy has impacted journalism, there is a need to find a home for some of the most respected names in sports to voice their opinions on some of the topics of the day, and we believe PlayerPulse.com will be that place, said Jarett Sims. We have seen so many top journalists hamstrung because of economics, and we intend to restore or expand their platform and to spread their word digitally. We have identified a number of insightful athletes who are looking for a place to tell their stories to the fans, and their insight will give fans a much deeper view inside sport. Putz, former Washington Wizards coach Eddie Jordan, ex NBA'ser Nick Van Exel, CBS's Len Elmore, WFAN'ss Ed Coleman, ESPN'ss Jay Bilas and FOX Sports's (http://www.playerpulse.com/category/contributors/curt-menefee/) Curt Menefee, Charles Davis and Brian Baldinger, the site will be the home of many well-read journalists who will have the ability to tell stories that are limited in traditional media. That list includes the New York Times's Liz Robbins, former Seattle Press Intelligencer columnist John Hickey, and former Orange County Register writers Art Thompson and Robert Kuwada among others.

PlayerPulse.com will also resurrect one of New York'ss favorite radio pairings, putting WFAN'ss Coleman back together with Sims, for their popular Coleman and the Soulman show, which ran from 1989 to 1993. The two will do regular podcasts for the site with many of the top names in sports as guests, and those podcasts will kick off this week.

Adding to the unique family angle of PlayerPulse, Abby Corsun Sims, wife of Dave, and a respected New York City sports physical therapist, will contribute a regular blog on sports injuries, rehabilitation and fitness. Jordan Sims, the couple'ss other son, will also write a regular column on topical issues in sports.
