"I've always been interested in animals -- I've always had a feel for them," says Norma Crozier, owner of www.HeavenPetUrns.com. As a pet owner, Norma opened her store in December of 2007 to help ease the pain of people who have lost a pet. "My compassion is there for them and what they are dealing with and going through," she explains, letting her customers know that for her, this is not just a business.
The urns themselves are of the highest quality in a variety of designs, allowing pet owners to pick something suitable as a monument to their companion. "I want to offer good workmanship;
things I would want to buy," assures Norma. "You're looking for something to represent your pet that has passed that will remind you of your love for them and the love they felt for you."
With materials including brass, European glass, ceramic, and marble, finding the right memorial is not an issue.
Norma herself grew up on a farm, and has always been a pet owner. "It seems like strays have always picked up on me, and we've had that connection," she explains. "I've always had a
passion for animals. I raised my first cat from when she was a baby, with a bottle; the mother had been lost."
Having so many pets inevitably means Norma has likewise felt their loss, and so Heaven Pet Urns is truly a labor of love for her. With that in mind, Norma has begun a blog at www.HeavenPetUrns.net, where she will not only be posting about sales, promotions, and products at her store, but also pet stories by her and her
customers. "I'm hoping that people will put stories of their pets on the blog; things that they're experiencing, whether they're alive or their pets have passed on," says Norma. "People
can relate to one another and help each other out for what they're going through. I hope people won't hesitate to talk to me about what they're feeling; my web site is as personal to me
as this is personal to them." Norma also states that she will be talking about various animal charities on her blog, including a local fund for pet medical costs that benefits people who
cannot afford to pay the full price for expensive pet operations.
Above all, Norma wants to give pet lovers a way to commemorate their lost friends, whether it's an urn to keep with trophies for a show dog or champion horse or a personal urn for the
ashes of a lifelong pet. "I would like people to know that their questions and what they're feeling are important to me, as much as they are important to them," assures Norma. "This isn't
just a site; it's a personal contact."
