Perhaps OkraTron 5000 is not a household name, but chances are that Atari, Sega and Nintendo are. Meet the guys behind the games. They are the audio experts who create and record the sound effects, score, and character voices that turn video games into experiences. And, after being selected to produce Atari's8217;s latest title, they can definitely say 's8220;Budokai Tenkaichi.'s8221;

Based on the hit anime series Dragonball Z, Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is one of the largest projects to date for OkraTron5000. The game called for over 140 character voices from the original series, requiring the studio to fly in actors from across the US. OkraTron 5000 is handling all of the Japanese/English localization for the title, amounting to over 30,000 lines of translation, English reversioning, dialogue recording, audio editing, and delivery. With 3 months of pre-production already complete, the project will wrap after 2 weeks of non-stop, 13-hour workdays.

Nevertheless, OkraTron 5000 President Christopher Sabat is thrilled to be Atari's8217;s primary selection for a third time this year. A veteran gamer and voice actor himself, Sabat was the original voice director for over 500 episodes of the Dragonball TV series while working for anime giant FUNimation Entertainment. 's8220;Working for Atari is such a huge honor,'s8221; says Sabat. 's8220;The name 's8220;Atari's8221; was as important to me as a kid as Dragonball Z is for kids today.'s8221;

OkraTron 5000 has acted as Atari's8217;s official audio production team for most of their previous Dragonball Z console titles including Dragonball Z Budokai 2, Dragonball Z Budokai 3, Dragonball Z Tenkaichi and Dragonball Z Evolution Sagas. They have also been awarded projects for Atari's8217;s handheld gaming titles such as Supersonic Warriors 1 & 2, Dragonball Z Shin Budokai, and The Legacy of Goku 2.
