Computer gaming is fun and exciting for everyone! Come and be a part of a highly competitive gaming experience or simply experience what modern gaming is all about, learning about the technology that is driving our computers to be faster and more productive every day!

Saint Louis, MO May 5, 2006 -- May 27 Saturday The LANatarium: LAN Party! Enter the James S. McDonnell Planetarium on Memorial Day, and you will witness a unique experience as hundreds of gamers from around the region go head-to-head, competing against each other in high-stakes tournaments.

What appears to be "fun and games," however, is really a high-tech living exhibit where you can learn about computer networking or "LANs" (Local Area Network), computer hardware, and how gaming is pushing the envelope of the computer technology! Anyone over the age of 14 can be a part of the exhibit: all it takes is your own computer. Any Science Center visitor can observe the fast and furious gaming action for free in the Planetarium from Noon to 5:30 pm. Admission for the entire day is only $20 to participate in the "bring your own computer" event, and $25 to compete in an XBOX tournament for Halo 2.
