The Doll Palace (www.TheDollPalace.com), a community where young teenage girls can create and dress up digital dolls, has announced a site
expansion into new and improved creative and educational tools. The site already offers educators features such as dolls with stories and historical dolls and items for
teaching children, to let them piggyback on the growing popularity of digital dolls and dress-up games covered repeatedly in the media. Now, The Doll Palace is offering an improved
collection of coloring pages aimed at educators looking for new creative tools for teaching younger
students.
Coloring pages can be an effective educational tool by appealing to the creative minds of children, says Alex Syrov, founder of The Doll Palace. The Doll Palace offers coloring pages in
convenient categories, making it easy for educators to find what they need for their classrooms, from holiday coloring pages to different types of animals to help young students visualize
the subjects they'sre learning about, while making education fun.
The Doll Palace began offering coloring pages in January of 2007, with the latest incarnation of the
coloring pages collection being launched in late May. The new version currently contains over one thousand coloring pages targeting teens and children. Site visitors also have the option
of uploading their own pen and ink drawings to add to the collection. The drawings will automatically be converted to coloring pages and be made available for download. The coloring pages
currently cover a wide variety of subject matter, from popular cartoon characters to fantasy creatures to everyday people, animals, and items.
