April 14, 2005 -- Poker Bowl USA, the country's first, amateur poker tour, will crown its champion during the Tournament of Champions, April 16th aboard the Ocean Jewel casino ship in St. Petersburg, FL. The winner will receive the inaugural Poker Bowl USA Cup and share in a prize pool of over $10,000 - presented by the tournament sponsor- BetonUSA.com.
The 10 finalists qualified for the Tournament of Champions by besting a field of 100 players in their regional event. Poker Bowl USA's unique format consisted of 10 free, amateur Texas Hold 'Em poker tournaments in major U.S. cities, with the winners receiving open seats to the Poker Bowl USA Tournament of Champions finale.
