For most people painkillers are a miracle that allows them to carry out their everyday activities, and minimize their suffering. They are not thought of as "bad" because a doctor prescribes them, and they are not illegal.

Oxycontin was first introduced in 1996, and is made from oxycodone, which is a main ingredient in drugs such as percocet and percodan. People abuse this drug by crushing it and snorting it, which sends a massive rush to the brain. Oxycontin locks into a cell receptor called mu, which is found mostly in the brain, spinal cord, and gut. Once this happens, it blocks pain signals from nerves and gives the person a feeling 0f well being. I started out with 20mg and eventually increased to 400mg a day. This can be an expensive habit since the drug can cost up to $1 per milligram. My waist dropped from 42 inches to 36 inches in two months, I also faked back pains and got a local doctor to write me prescriptions for the oxy. I have since given up the drug thanks to online poker . Just as oxy is on the rise so is online poker .
