$1 Million Qualifier At Beulah Park On October 29

Horse players from around the Midwest will be challenged in a Horseplayer World Series qualifier at Beulah Park on Breeders' Cup day, with two trips to Las Vegas and a purse potential of $10,000 on the line at the race track just south of Columbus in Grove City.

An open tournament at Beulah Park will determine two finalists to qualify for the $1 Million Finals of the Coast Casinos Horseplayer World Series in Las Vegas. Based on the maximum of 200 entries, the purse could hit $10,000 in which the top player will receive 60% and paid entry into the finals in Las Vegas on January 19-21. The second place winner will qualify for the finals and receive 20% of the purse.

Each contestant will compete with a $200 tournament bankroll for each entry. Players will compete based on Win, Place, or Show bets in the pari-mutuel system on October 29 at Beulah Park. The contestants who earn the highest return at the end of the tournament will be declared the winner in each of the top five slots.
For the entry fee of $50, all contestants will receive one free program and a free Maiden Stats CD-ROM, a $100 value, compliments of Brisnet.com. Each player must be 21 years of age or older and have an active WinTicket.com account. This is an on-track contest open to the first 200 entries based on a maximum of two entries per person.
The first and second place winners will also receive a WinTicket.com jacket, roundtrip airfare from Columbus Metropolitan Airport, Tournament Finals entry fee paid, hotel accommodations at the Orleans Hotel, buffet-style breakfast and lunch at the finals, World Series gifts, and racing forms provided by Coast Casinos. The prizes for third, fourth, and fifth place are 10%, 7.5%, and 2.5% of the purse. Tournament details can be found on WinTicket.com and Beulah Park websites, two sponsors of the event. The Ohio Lottery Commission also sponsors the on-site event at Beulah Park.

Gilead, OH was the first place qualifier with a bankroll return of $753.50 followed by second-place winner Chad Yochens of Obetz, OH who finished with a bankroll of $700.
