Will All the Arcade Scripts Survive

Just a few years ago finding a script to manage the online flash game arcade you were looking at opening was quite difficult. Many would be owners saw sites that ran flashy looking sites with backend management and began inquiring about where to buy these scripts at. Some savy script developers decided that they would offer a script to the masses and the online gaming market was born.

However, over the past few years the market has become a hot bed of competition as more competitors entered this once niche market. With the likes of GameSiteScript, phpArcadeScript and others joining the battle for customers the script that at one time was almost impossible to find can now be found quite easily and with varying degrees of support and features.

The problem is not who has the best script at the moment, but which ones will be able to survive the coming market shakeout. Yes it is coming and will happen within the next year or two at most as many developers who for whatever reason decide that they can no longer compete in this market.

Many will simply close up shop because they cannot meet the demands of the new Arcade owners who want more from their scripts than previously offered. Some will be bought by other script sites for their traffic and members to give them a larger marketing base and yet others will close because of poor service.

There has been a positive effect though to all this competition. The script developers that want to survive are making constant improvements to their software which allows them to keep their scripts in line with other developers or they have coded new versions that contain never before seen features that allows them to keep a step ahead. All these improvements mean additional loyalty from their current owner base, additional license sales from these same owners and also new script sales to customers who are looking for the best script with the features that meet their needs.

Even with all these improvements there are still going to be losers eventually. Those developers who can meet the ongoing demands of their owners and provide great support in the form of direct one on one support and forums support will be the ones that survive in the end.

While yes the selection of scripts will be smaller the remaining scripts will be better suited to meeting the demands of todays arcade owners and helping them to achieve their goals of creating a top notch gaming site for the masses.
