Coming in September 2006 is I's8217;m Me and I's8217;m Proud, You should be too a dynamic and enthralling insightful non-fiction book, composed to empower the LGBT community on issues
that combat the blatant attack, against all gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, and transgender individuals.
The climate hatred being demonstrated against the LGBT communities across the globe, landed this past weekend in Detroit, Michigan, during the annual Hotter Than July Pride Festival in
the African-American community. Two separate incidents occurred during the scheduled events, and created a terror across the entire LGBT community in that region.
On Friday night, July 28, 2006, at a local gay establishment, inside the Detroit area, The Woodward Bar, two African-American gay males where physically attacked violently, and one gay
male was shot and rushed to the hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. That same night, during another planned gay event, at the Palladium nightclub, African-American gay
males where also attacked and robbed of money, cars, and jewelry. No one was seriously harmed, albeit, authorities were contacted and further investigations are being pursued.
With so much hatred casting a shadow over the LGBT community nationally, The William-Harold AIDS Project Inc. declares war against anti-gay organizations and religious cults, which
promote hatred against LGBT community members. In this rally to fight for equal justice within the LGBT community , those living with HIV/AIDS or affected, the William-Harold AIDS Project
Inc. formulated a long over-due non-fiction book, established on courage, we, as LGBT community members need, in order to fight against the war we face today.
I's8217;m Me and I's8217;m Proud, You should be too's8230;provides strong experiences, from two cultural perspectives , that will empower all LGBT community members, while instilling an
inner courage, to continue this fight we face daily, without succumbing to the mental and emotional depression, being forced on us, in this effort to decrease our existence, in this
un-politically correct society. Converging on topics such as- Coming Out, Family Orientation, Religious Dogma tics, Soul Mating, HIV/AIDS, Gay Segregation, and Celebrity essay's8217;s on-
why it's8217;s important to be proud if you are gay.
Let's8217;s face it, in today's8217;s society; our battle to be free in America is becoming a challenge, each passing day. Even after years of political rallies such as Stonewall, the
LGBT community has still been subjected to hatred and violent acts, even death. Even so, it seems we have elected fear as our defense, and climbed back into our dark dreary closets. This
makes me nervous, because if we are going to be recognized as 's8220;punks's8221; because we accept this treatment, then we may as well plan our funerals and say, 's8220;good-bye's8221;
to our loved one's8217;s, because soon, they too, will be faced with the same battle; deciding rather to choose our side or be with those who desire for us to be exterminated. And if we
do not prepare ourselves for this war properly, how will we win
Some religious leaders are joining forces with the LGBT community, because they believe this technique of hatred being targeted at us, is cruel, and should be dealt with. And with the
United States Government declaring that 's8220;Homosexuals are dangerous and should be surveillance's8221;; we are facing a brutal fight.
Furthermore, anyone who is HIV positive will soon be victimized by the federal surveillance teams, also. A special team of investigators, formed by previous Secret Service Agents, CIA,
DEA, and City police, are snooping around and reporting the daily activities of those HIV positive, to governmental officials and the CDC. And unfortunately, with the enormous withdraws
of funding from HIV/AIDS organizations across the globe, uniting the LGBT community is our only way of surviving in this war.
's8220;Capitalizing on our own resources and funding capabilities, can restore our strength, empower our lives, and take us into the pinnacle of control we already possess's8221;, says
CEO Bruce Chaundy of the William-Harold AIDS Project Inc.
